Pregame update: Browns must overcome injuries

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Browns will have to overcome key injuries to beat the Jaguars today and keep the momentum they’ve accrued with solid performances the last month.

Receiver/returner Joshua Cribbs (dislocated toes) is inactive, along with defensive back Mike Adams (abdomen) and linebacker Scott Fujita (knee).

The Browns will have left guard Eric Steinbach and guard/tackle Floyd Womack, who missed practice Wednesday and Thursday. Steinbach will start, while Womack will begin the game on the bench.

Rookie Shawn Lauvao will make his first start at right guard. John St. Clair will return to right tackle after missing nearly two months with a high ankle sprain. He was active last week but didn’t play on offense.

Jake Delhomme will be the third quarterback. The other Browns inactives: defensive linemen Brian Sanford and Jayme Mitchell, receiver Demetrius Williams and tight end Alex Smith.

The Jaguars are without starting receiver Mike Sims-Walker. He will be replaced by Tiquan Underwood.

The weather is perfect at EverBank Field – sunny and in the 70s.
