None of the races or issues required a recount — only the levy for the Firelands Schools came close — so finalizing the official results didn’t require extra time.
Board of Elections Director Paul Adams said the midterm election saw nearly 49 percent voter turnout, a pretty typical turnout. But it was down 6 percent from the 2006 elections.
In other business, the board approved consolidating two polling places in Columbia Township down to one.
Everyone in the township will now vote at Lighthouse Bible Church, 24050 Royalton Road, Columbia Township.
A levy for Columbia Schools and an issue to raise money to pay for police protection in Columbia Township are on the ballot in February, Adams said.
The certified results will be posted on the board of election’s website.
