Couple reportedly robbed at gunpoint

LORAIN — A Hamilton Avenue couple told police they were robbed at gunpoint by a pair of teenagers early Monday.

The couple said they were sitting in their vehicle in front of their home about 3 a.m. when two males who looked to be aged 16 and 18 approached them and asked if they had any marijuana to sell. The couple told the males no and the teens continued south on Hamilton Avenue.

A short time later the two teens returned brandishing handguns and told the couple to exit the vehicle and give them everything they had, according to police. The woman threw her purse on the ground and her boyfriend threw down $20. The suspects grabbed the items and fled.

The teens were both black, with one being short wearing a white tank top and jean shorts and the other tall, thin and wearing a white T-shirt and jean shorts.
