Marta Soltesz, (nee Palcsik), 86, of Elyria passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Elyria Wesleyan Village following a brief illness. She was born July 2, 1924 in Kisvarda Hungary and was a Elyria resident for most of her life.
Marta was employed as a assembler at the former Lorain Products for 12 years, retiring in 1981. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria.
Survivors include her daughter, Grace (Delbert) Clark of Elyria; son, Joe (Diane) Soltesz of Mansfield; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Soltesz in 1980; one sister; four brothers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 28, 2011, from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. 322-4626. Services will be Wednesday, June 29 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home. The Rev. Fr. Albert Veigas, pastor of St. Agnes Church will Officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
