LORAIN — A man in his mid-20s was taken to the hospital from the scene of a motorcycle accident this afternoon, and crews expected him to be LifeFlighted.
The accident, which happened about 2:45 p.m. at Broadway and West 30th Street, involved the Yamaha motorcycle the man was riding and a silver minivan. One person from the minivan was being treated as well.
According to information provided over the air for LifeFlight, the motorcycle rider’s injuries were an exposed skull injury, an amputated thumb and a leg injury.
The intersection is expected to remain closed until about 4 p.m.
