Critter Chronicles: Mala

Meet marvelous Mala! This big girl still acts like a puppy in a lot of ways. She’ll need some obedience training but is a smart girl, learns quickly and really aims to please. Mala has a great disposition, but she’s losing patience being caged up all the time. She’s been at the shelter for quite a while. She barks constantly and jumps in her cage. PLEASE DON’T JUDGE HER BY HER CAGE BEHAVIOR. Take her out and she calms down and is thrilled for some attention and a nice walk. She was surrendered to the shelter because her owner’s landlord would not let them keep her. Mala is house-trained and has manners in the house. We have found that Mala does not like other dogs at the shelter. When she’s outside, she really doesn’t bother the other dogs, but it’s best if she’s an only pet. Older kids are advisable due to the size of Mala. Once away from a shelter environment we know Mala will thrive. She really is a sweetheart and likes people. Mala needs to get out of the shelter into a permanent or foster home ASAP. Have a nice farm or a lot of property? That would be perfect for Mala. Mala’s adoption comes with FREE obedience training.
