Friday, July 15

9 a.m. – 200 block Longford Ave., 63-year-old man told police a $600 Glock .40-caliber pistol was taken from his vehicle, along with a holster, a loaded ammo magazine, and a $250 GPS unit.

Saturday, July 16

6:19 a.m. – 100 block Windbrook Drive, car window smashed overnight and camera and GPS unit stolen.

9:45 a.m. – 400 block Auburn St., garage door left open overnight, wallet stolen from home.

12:38 p.m. – Elyria Library, 333 Washington Ave, Eric R. Fitzpatrick, age unavailable, 300 block Washington Ave., Elyria, charged with assault, but not arrested for allegedly punching his girlfriend.

Sunday, July 17

2:22 p.m. – 1000 block Garden St., Nintendo Wii stolen from home sometime over the past two days. No known witnesses.

3:12 p.m. – Oberlin Road and Homesite Court, John Little, 50, 700 block N. Main St., charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs (hydrocodone).

5:23 p.m. – 600 block S. Abbe Road, two 15-year-old girls charged with domestic violence.

9 p.m. – 300 block East Ave., Timothy Bascue, 32, North Ridgeville, charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Friday, July 15

9:19 p.m. – 4100 block of Black River Circle, Donald W. McConnell Sr., 66, charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated and improper backing.

Saturday, July 16

1:18 a.m. – 1300 block W. Fourth St., Cynthia Gargasz, 47, Lorain, charged with operating a vehicle intoxicated, and reckless operation. Police said the woman drove a truck into a yard and struck a swing set. She was admitted to Mercy Medical Center after police said she appeared to be despondent over family matters.

8 a.m. – 700 block Osborn Ave., window broken, rear door pried open, nothing of major value stolen.

9:33 a.m. – 1700 block Lexington Ave., screen to porch window removed and phone charger found in bushes, residents believe burglar or burglars was scared off by presence of their son who was asleep on the couch.

10:49 a.m. – 1200 block W. 15th St., $200 worth of copper piping stolen from vacant house that burned on July 10.

12:11 – 1900 block W. 30th St., house egged overnight.

3:44 p.m. – 3000 block W. Erie Ave., garage door pried open and $2,500 riding mower, $300 in copper tubing and a $100 chain saw stolen.

4:07 p.m. – 300 block W. 14th St., Chad A. Dull, 32, 300 block W. 14th S., Lorain, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching his girlfriend after she complained about his drinking.

4:17 p.m. – 4500 block Norfolk Ave., glass rear door to home broken and $4,000 television, $2,000 computer, and two Xboxes with a total value of $900 stolen.

9:03 p.m. – 2300 block Livingston Ave., Keith D. Nash, 21, 2300 block Livingston Ave., Lorain, charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly driving a stolen SUV.

11:01 p.m. – 2800 block Cromwell Drive, James D. Baker, 34, 2800 block of Cromwell Drive, Lorain, charged with domestic violence for allegedly threatening to kill his wife after she asked for a divorce.

11:41 p.m. – 900 block W. 28th St., John J. Chovanec, 46, Kyle J. Chovanec, 24, both of the 900 block W. 28th St., Lorain, both charged with domestic violence for allegedly fighting each other.

Sunday, July 17

5:40 a.m. – 2000 block Lexington Ave., windows of two cars in front of homes smashed, nothing reported stolen, suspect is a Latino male about 6-foot-tall with a medium build, dark curly hair in a pony tail, white shirt and dark shorts.
