Tuesday, Aug. 16

4:24 p.m. — 1100 block Oakwood Drive, a 42-year-old woman reported a Nintendo Wii video game system, six games and four controllers stolen from her home. The victim thought she had locked both doors to her home.

4:31 p.m. — Midway Mall, a 49-year-old man reported an unauthorized $31.86 charge to his debit card made at the XMS store in Midway Mall.

4:38 p.m. — 100 block Teal St., Elyria, a 33-year-old woman reported finding a piece of paper in her mailbox with a drawing of a gun and the word “kill” written on it. The gun looked like it had been drawn by a child.

5:34 p.m. — 300 block East River St., a 46-year-old woman reported that someone had cut the screen to her window and stolen a laptop by reaching through the screen.

8:04 p.m. — 600 block East Ave., Justin W. Wolfe, 23, same address, charged with three counts of vicious dog at large because his three pit bulls allegedly jumped on a woman and her dogs.

9:57 p.m. — 200 block N. Abbe Road, a 58-year-old woman reported that someone stole her cell phone from her car while she was parked at Apples supermarket. The door had been unlocked.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

12:22 a.m. — 800 block Lake Ave., a 46-year-old man reported that someone stole his blue Roadmaster bicycle.

2:10 a.m. — 200 block Second St., two HP mini laptops, valued at $350 each, reported stolen from a computer repair shop.

8:08 a.m. — 100 block Delaware Court, a 29-year-old woman reported receiving harassing text messages.

12:23 p.m. — 800 block Infirmary Road, Michelle R. Bordy, 26, 100 block Brunswick Drive, charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug abuse instruments.

1:39 p.m. — 700 block Purdue Ave., a 52-year-old woman reported that someone stole her Coach purse, valued at $300, from her home. The purse contained $200 cash and her car keys.

2:51 p.m. — 800 block Infirmary Road, Robert F. Gibson Jr., 100 block Brunswick Drive, charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly trying to turn in material stolen from Kalt Manufacturing in North Ridgeville to Elyria Recycling.

3:23 p.m. — 400 block Cleveland St., juvenile male, 10, charged with theft for allegedly stealing $10 from a change jar and $13.32 from the cash drawer of JT Hair and Design.

6:03 p.m. — 1600 block Lake Ave., a 41-year-old woman reported that someone stole her son’s 20-inch black and gray Mongoose bicycle, worth $80, from her attached garage.

9:46 p.m. — 300 block 12th St., a 29-year-old woman reported that someone stole $100, a cell phone and some change from her home. The suspect possibly entered through a window.

10:08 p.m. — 1800 block Turner Blvd., a man reported that the front tinted glass door to his apartment building had been smashed by a group of juvenile males.

Thursday, Aug. 18

3:03 a.m. — 200 block Ninth St., a 29-year-old man reported that an unknown man knocked on his door and began to fight with him, pushing him into an end table and cutting his face. He could not describe the suspect.

4:49 a.m. — 500 block N. Abbe Road, front window reported broken at Think Wireless by a white male suspect wearing a blue hoodie and some type of cloth over his face. Entry to the store was not made.

Sunday, Aug. 14

12:50 p.m. — 800 block Colorado Ave., Luis A. Agosto, 37, 1100 block W. Eighth St., arrested and charged with assault, aggravated menacing and unlawful restraint for allegedly punching his girfriend’s ex-boyfriend, threatening the girlfriend and refusing to let her leave her apartment.

Monday, Aug. 15

5:52 p.m. — 2200 Tower Blvd., apartment ransacked and racial slurs and death threats scrawled throughout apartment.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

6:34 a.m. — 2000 block E. Erie Ave., car passenger window shattered with rock overnight, nothing stolen from car.

10:54 a.m. — 3100 block Colorado Ave., mail carrier bitten on ankle by boxer which attacked him through the front door screen and ran back into house.

11:13 a.m. — 2400 block E. 36th St., woman said she came home and found jewelry and television with total value of $12,600 stolen. No signs of forced entry.

2:25 p.m. — 3000 block Sterling Road, Jessica E. Tyrone, 26, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching her mother in the left eye and head after her mother refused to immediately give her a phone.

3:30 p.m. — 1900 block W. 19th St., Edward L. Stewart, 66, 1000 block of W. 19th St., Lorain, arrested and charged with drunken driving, driving with a suspended license, driving with an inadequate exhaust system, failure to signal and driving with an open alcohol container. Police said Lee had a blood alcohol content of 0.181 — more than twice the legal limit of 0.08 — after being stopped for allegedly failing to use his turn signal.

Wednesday, Aug. 17

2:53 a.m. — 3900 block Meadow Lane, apartment broken into through kitchen window with DVD player, Xbox with games and wallet with total value of about $1,200 stolen along with pills.

3:32 a.m. — 1400 block F St., apartment front door open and items strewn about and screen of television worth $800 smashed.

10:47 a.m. — 2800 block Colorado Ave., woman with red marks on her neck said estranged husband choked her and bit her left hand on Monday. Police said husband wasn’t charged with domestic violence due to the length of time reporting the allegations, but woman was referred to the prosecutor’s office about filing charges.

12:28 p.m. — Veterans Park, 303 E. Erie Ave., granite pillar worth $650 damaged and removed.

4:28 p.m. — 1100 block W. 14th St., man bitten on back by neighbor’s boxer, which jumped fence.

5:03 p.m. — Firelands Manor, 1000 block W. Erie Ave., Allan H. Quinn, 52, arrested and charged with menacing, disorderly conduct by intoxication, persistent disorderly conduct and criminal damaging for allegedly cursing at neighbors and pounding on doors accusing them of stealing his bicycle.

8:25 p.m. — West Street, report of a fight between two juveniles who were arguing over $10.

Friday, Aug. 12

9:10 a.m. — Sun Center Credit Union, report of a female sleeping inside her vehicle in the parking lot. She was waiting for the bank to open.

Sunday, Aug. 14

9 p.m. — 400 block Forest St., a girl called to report that someone rang the doorbell, but when she looked, no one was at the door. An officer responded and didn’t see anyone on the property and the girl’s dad soon returned home for the night.

Tuesday, Aug. 16

4:45 p.m. — Lions Park, a man observed another man putting trash in the park’s Dumpster. He wrote down the license plate and the police officer than found the man and asked him to remove the trash he had placed in the Dumpster.

Wednesday, Aug. 10

2:19 p.m. — Oak Street, a woman reported that a small dog was loose. The owner advised that she let the dog loose and doesn’t want it. The officer told her that if he finds the dog again, he will bring it back to her.

4:31 p.m. — Elm Street, a man and woman wanted to file a complaint against a male juvenile who gave their children alcohol and cigarettes while they were in the church parking lot. An officer spoke with the caretaker of the church who just moved there. He stated that he no longer wants anyone hanging out or playing on the church property due to garbage and items of sexual nature that were found.

11:12 p.m. — Wellfleet Drive, road and signs spray painted.

Thursday, Aug. 11

11:02 a.m. — 1000 block Greenwich Ave., a man requested an officer because his neighbor wanted to fight in the street.

5:31 p.m. — 1000 block Elm St., a man requested extra patrol after he noticed gas was being taken from his vehicles. Gas cans and tools were also missing from his garage.

11:01 p.m. — 900 block Main St., a woman advised that she heard a fight or gun shots from an adjoining apartment. An officer responded and learned a woman was on the phone yelling at her boyfriend because she found out he was cheating on her. She also was throwing things around in the apartment.

Friday, Aug. 12

9:47 p.m. — 1000 block Greenwich Ave., fight between juveniles over a scooter.

10:24 p.m. — 1000 block Elm St., a woman returned home and believed someone was in her yard and tampering with her belongings.

Saturday, Aug. 13

1:14 p.m. — Water Street, a woman requested that an officer speak with her 2-year-old daughter in reference to the importance of staying in her car seat.

10:30 p.m. — Main Street, report of a vehicle with nine juveniles inside throwing items out of the windows and all over the road.
