Monday, Aug. 22

9:22 a.m. – 2100 block Hancock St., padlock cut off garage door and $585 worth of tools stolen.

10 a.m. – 3300 block Lincoln St., copper piping stolen from basement.

10:30 a.m. – 1500 block Lehigh Ave., side door pried open and $500 worth of copper piping stolen.

1:39 p.m. – South Branch Library, 2121 Homewood Drive, bicycle stolen from outside library.

2:14 p.m. – 4300 block Riverview Lane, man said his friend punched and kicked him after accusing him of informing to the police about him.

5 p.m. – 1500 block Wallace Lane., garage broken into, $2,222 worth of tools stolen.

8:05 p.m. – 1300 block W. 29th St., porch door window smashed, $3,000 television stolen.

6:33 p.m. – 1000 block Brownell Ave., side door to vacant home kicked in and air conditioner, copper piping and digital thermometer worth $9,200 stolen. Damaged door worth $2,000.

6:36 p.m. – 3100 block Colorado Ave., Quayne D. Watkins, 37, 3100 block Colorado Ave., charged with domestic violence, but not arrested, for allegedly threatening his roommate.

9:42 p.m. – Hamilton and West 29th Street, man said three men tried to steal his bicycle and chased him to his home, where he fought them off with a golf club.

Tuesday, Aug. 23

12:24 a.m. – 1300 block New Jersey Ave., kitchen screen window cut and two 12-guage shotguns and two muzzle loaders worth $567 stolen.

1:51 a.m. – 600 block West 13th Street, air conditioner pushed in and television and Xbox worth $1,700 stolen.

7:48 a.m. – 3100 block Caroline Ave., driver’s license and pills stolen from unlocked car.

2:15 p.m. – 4700 block Camden Ave., car tire punctured overnight.

9:03 a.m. – 3100 block Eagle Ave., van with keys in it stolen from driveway and two unlocked cars in driveway ransacked.

2:37 p.m. – 1100 block W. 2nd St., vacant house broken into and $500 worth of copper piping stolen.

Wednesday, Aug. 24

10:22 a.m. – 900 block W. 23rd St., garage window pried open, five bicycles and a tool box worth $550 stolen.

4:04 p.m. – 1500 block New Mexico Ave., home broken into through unlocked side door and video games worth $1,180 stolen.

7:12 p.m. – 2500 block E. 40th St., 7-year-old girl says she bit a man who tried to pull her into a black car after she fell off her bicycle. She said he then let go and left in the car, which drove west on Homewood Drive. The man was described as black, with a mustache and beard, wearing black sunglasses, black army clothing and black Nike shoes. Police said the man may have been trying to help the girl, not abduct her.

7:28 p.m. – 2600 block W. Erie Ave., Tina M. Parker, 30, 2600 block W. Erie Ave., Lorain, charged with domestic violence for allegedly punching her boyfriend in the face after finding a text message to another woman in his phone and the phone number of other women. Police said Parker denied punching her boyfriend.

8:49 p.m. – Lexington Ave. and West 26th Street, sword found in area where people were reported fighting in the street.

10:51 p.m. – 800 block W. 11th St., air conditioner in window pushed in, video games stolen.

11:15 p.m. – 600 block W. 13th St., teenage boy and his girlfriend beaten by four men and a woman who entered the boy’s home without permission. One of the men accused the boy of saying the man was responsible for burglary in a nearby house. The house where the assault occurred was where a man was shot in the arm Aug. 16.

Thursday, Aug. 25

1:05 a.m. – 3100 block Cromwell Drive, car windshield and front living room window broken with rock found in living room.

3:35 a.m. – Cooper Foster Park Road and South Broadway, Frankie Dean, 43, 4600 block Oberlin Ave., charged with domestic violence for allegedly choking the mother of two of his children. Police said Dean has four prior domestic violence convictions.
