Turnpike crash injures two

Two people suffered what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries in a 4:30 p.m. crash on the Ohio Turnpike westbound lanes by the Elyria-North Ridgeville border.

Both the female driver and her male passenger were conscious and alert after being cut from their wrecked station wagon by North Ridgeville firefighters about 5 p.m.

The crash, which remains under investigation by the Ohio Highway Patrol, backed up traffic for about a half mile.

See Tuesday’s edition of The Chronicle for more information.
