Monday, Oct. 3

9:03 a.m. — 399 block Miami Ave., a woman reported finding a pry bar on her roof. Her home had previously been burglarized.

9:20 a.m. — 100 block Oberlin Road, Neighborhood Alliance, someone broke into a shed and stole an old lawnmower and a gas can, together valued at $25.

10:43 a.m. — 200 block Midway Blvd., Exotic Nails, break-in reported and two laptops, $600 cash, several bottles of high-end nail polish worth approximately $2,000, several high-end nail clippers and cuticle trimmers worth $400, about 300 unsigned gift cards, one tub of about 300 bottles of nail polish at $3.75 per bottle and a single check from a checkbook reported stolen.

11:11 a.m. — 300 block Broad St., PNC Bank, a man was barred from the premises for threatening a female employee by phone and email.

12:36 p.m. — 900 block Clark St., a woman reported $700 cash missing from her drawer.

12:42 a.m. — 600 block East River St., a man reported his Droid cell phone stolen while he was at EMH Medical Center in Elyria.

2:04 p.m. — 1200 block S. Abbe Road, a woman reported someone broke the driver’s side window of her vehicle and stole a purse containing $400.

5:58 p.m. — 1300 block East Ave., a man reported his rear license plate stolen.

7:17 p.m. — 6200 block S. West River Road, Toni Suta, 19, same address, and Christopher Metelsky, 22, Lorain, charged with theft for allegedly selling some of her mother’s household items, including an air conditioner and a TV.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

12:42 a.m. — 800 block Lorain Blvd., Journey Inn, two women reported someone entered their hotel room and stole $120 and an iPod Touch. Surveillance footage showed a man climbing in through the window. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

6:45 a.m. — 100 block Chestnut St., man charged but not arrested for criminal trespass at Harr Plaza.

Lorain police

Monday, Oct. 3

8:17 p.m. — 2300 block Homewood Drive, car broken into and $240 in cash, iPod, phone and $1,200 watch stolen Friday night or early Saturday.

9:28 p.m. — Lexington Avenue and West 23rd Street, Fabian Quilies, 38, 4700 block Eagles Nest Drive, Lorain, arrested and charged with obstructing official business, driving with a suspended license and speeding for allegedly running from police Officer Matthew Sedivy after a traffic stop. Sedivy said he caught Quiles in the front yard of a home in the 400 block of W. 23rd St., according to Sedivy’s incident report.

9:51 p.m. — 400 block Euclid Ave., a resident says a man who did computer repair work for him demanded to be paid $20 and, when told he would have to wait, kicked in the resident’s side door and stole his computer. The alleged victim said he was later assaulted by the man when he tried to pay him the $20.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

12:19 a.m. — 3700 block Clifton Ave., home broken into while 17-year-old girl and her sister were home. The 17-year-old said she two men broke in and one threatened to shoot her. A television worth $1,100 was stolen. The girl’s mother suspects one of her 15-year-old son’s friends.

2:56 a.m. — Police Department, 100 W. Erie Ave., 18-year-old woman says she was raped by her friend’s boyfriend Saturday in an apartment in the 2100 block of Elyria Ave. The man, wanted on unrelated charges of larceny, resisting arrest and failure to comply with a police officer, was not charged with rape, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.

4:30 a.m. — 1000 block W. 11th St., woman said man exposed his genitalia to her while she was in her car parked outside her home and that he masturbated until she drove away.

6:45 a.m. — Police Department, 100 W. Erie Ave., man reports his car’s windshield and front bumper were damaged by his ex-girlfriend and her male friend in the 500 block of W. 23rd St.

8 a.m. — 3100 block Cromwell Drive, burglary with entry through unlocked front door, $700 in video games and DVDs stolen.

8:33 a.m. — 3000 Vine Ave., vacant apartment in 1600 block of E. 30th St., broken into and refrigerator worth $302 stolen.

9:17 a.m. — 200 block S. Main St., police investigate complicity to shoplifting complaint.

5:49 p.m. — West College Street, theft involving Gibson’s Bakery referred to juvenile officials.

7:55 a.m. — 700 block Industrial Ave., dump truck found with windshield shattered.

3:15 p.m. — 100 block Union St., harassment report filed regarding neighbor.

Friday, Sept. 16

2:13 p.m. — 100 block Jones St., Robert D. Klem, 19, of Wellington, charged with burglary after a resident of Jones Street woke up and said Klem was in his room and had his wallet. Other residents of the home told police money was missing from the residence.
