10:01 a.m. — 600 block Griswold Road, Arby’s, graffiti reported sprayed on the rear door of the restaurant.
10:46 a.m. — 500 block Griswold Road, Ashley Scardina, 26, same address, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a Schedule III controlled substance and crack cocaine.
11:56 a.m. — State Route 57 and Bell Avenue, Scott Kleister, 45, 39700 block Butternut Ridge Road, charged with possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
2:53 p.m. — 200 block Fifth St., a man reported someone used his name to open cable accounts with Time Warner, accumulating $300 in charges.
4:14 p.m. — 6100 block S. Gateway Blvd., a woman reported a desktop computer with printer, monitor and surround sound, as well as 150 pounds of dumbbells, stolen from her living room. She had left a side door unlocked.
4:29 p.m. — 1100 Gulf Road, Spring Valley Country Club, owner reported someone made a $1,000 payment for a wedding reception using a bad check, then never paid the $2,500 balance.
4:38 p.m. — 500 block Bell Ave., Jeffrey Belt, 33, Avon Lake, charged with possessing drug abuse instruments.
5:25 p.m. — 1000 Barbara St., Westway Gardens Apartments, Brian Price, 22, charged with criminal trespassing.
7 p.m. — 600 block Foster Ave., juvenile male, 16, charged with aggravated burglary for allegedly breaking through the back door of a home and attacking a man. The juvenile was with another man, who was charged but not yet arrested.
7:11 p.m. — 100 block Lake Ave., Gordon Matheney, 53, 100 block Riverside Court, charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication.
Sunday, Oct. 2
12:21 a.m. — Oberlin Avenue, and West 20th Street, Genevieve L. Fitzgerald, 39, 1900 block of Oberlin Ave., Lorain, arrested and charged with domestic violence for allegedly pointing a bow and arrow at her boyfriend and threatening to shoot him and also threatening to “gut him” with a knife after he said he didn’t want to marry her. Police said Fitzgerald was bleeding profusely from a cut on her right hand when they questioned her and her boyfriend told police he suspects she cut herself handling the bow and arrow.

10:18 a.m. — 1900 block Reeves Ave., Paris D. Kimbro, 22, same address, charged with domestic violence, but not arrested for allegedly punching his girlfriend in the face three times, hitting her in the leg with a broom handle and hitting her on the forehead with an air freshener can.
10:47 a.m. — A-1 Auto, 100 W. 36th St., employee said man took two catalytic converters from garage and ran away.
5:19 p.m. — 2200 block W. 23rd St., Anthony T. Curry, 48, same address, arrested and charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly waving a knife at his girlfriend and her ex-husband and threatening to kill the girlfriend.
6:46 p.m. — 1600 block Washington Ave., Rigo A. Rios, 21, no address listed, arrested and charged with violation of a temporary protection order. Police said Rios’ ex-boyfriend told them Rios came to his home to pick up belongings and repeatedly punched him and kicked him in the stomach.
7:36 p.m. — 3700 block Gary Ave., Zachary J. Vrabel, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence for allegedly head-butting his wife during an argument. Police said Vrabel denied head-butting his wife, and she said she didn’t want him arrested.
8:42 p.m. — Elyria Avenue and East 31st Street, Eli J. Dechant, 19, 2200 block Eastlawn St., Lorain, arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated by alcohol or drugs, underaged drinking, driving on a sidewalk or curb, failure to control and driving in marked lanes, Jimmy T. Lawrence, 22, 2300 block Washington Ave., Lorain, arrested and charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication. Police Officer Kyle Gelenius wrote in his incident report that Dechant drove on the curb and narrowly missed two utility poles before being stopped. Dechant said he had smoked marijuana and taken Xanax, Gelenius wrote. Lawrence, Dechant’s passenger, was passed out with his pants down and fell out of Dechant’s pickup when he tried to get out, Gelenius wrote.
9:02 p.m. — 1800 block W. 40th St., $17,725 worth of jewelry stolen from home, resident suspects her daughter’s friend who visited Sunday and was seen near the bedroom where the jewelry was.
9:03 p.m. — 4100 block Fulton Road, three crossbows and two pellet guns worth $2,600 stolen from home, entry believed made through unlocked bathroom window. Resident suspects a neighborhood teen who was recently released from a juvenile jail.
10:52 p.m. — 3200 block Knerim Drive, unlocked sport utility vehicle entered and credit cards, phone, purse with $50 in it and two rings worth $200 stolen.
Wednesday, Oct. 5
1:39 a.m. — East 29th Street and Grove Avenue, Luis J. Pena Jr., 24, 2100 block E. 29th St., arrested and charged with drunken driving, failure to comply with a police officer, reckless driving and squealing and peeling tires, for allegedly driving recklessly and refusing to immediately stop for an officer. Police said Pena had a blood-alcohol level of 0.121.

10:02 p.m. — 6100 block of Albert Ave., Lyle H. Doehr, 53, of North Ridgeville, charged with domestic violence and disrupting public service.
11:21 p.m. — 32650 Lorain Road, a 43-year-old Middleburg Heights man was assaulted and injured during a ruckus at Aces Bar & Grill.

1:28 a.m. — 33147 Center Ridge Road, Robert H. McClure, 46, of Medina, charged with assault following reports of a flight at Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe.
7:26 a.m. — Chestnut Ridge at Lear-Nagle roads, Joyce K. Serina, 58, of North Ridgeville, charged with passing a stopped school bus.
9:44 a.m. — 34361 Lorain Road, personnel of Faith Baptist Temple report a break-in and the theft of a number of rolls of pennies.
7:52 p.m. — Meadow Lakes Drive at Center Ridge Road, Patrick A. Camlin, 24, of North Ridgeville, charged with passing a stopped school bus.
Sunday, Oct. 2
1:13 a.m. — 6450 Pitts Blvd., two persons were charged stemming from a disturbance involving several people in the parking lot of Mulligan’s Pub. Daniel J. Kreilach, 31, of North Ridgeville, was charged with disorderly conduct persisting. Mary A. McElhaney, 35, of Elyria, charged with disorderly conduct.
2:01 a.m. — Chestnut Ridge at Lear-Nagle roads, Aaron R. Caswell, 20, of Wellington, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana. Andrew L. Fahler, 20, of New London, charged with underage consumption. A 16-year-old Wellington female was cited for driving under the influence and flashing traffic signals.
