Vigil held for wreck victims

HENRIETTA TWP. — Car crash victim James Muth’s colleagues, friends and students gathered Wednesday night at Firelands High School where Muth teaches and formerly coached volleyball to pray for his recovery.

“Lord, we need a miracle,” the Rev. Charles Livermore said as 400 people holding candles ringed the football field. “Lord, repair and heal and mend that body.”

Prayers also were said for Donald Kneisel, the westbound driver who drove into the eastbound lane of Russia Road and collided with Muth around 3:10 p.m. Tuesday in New Russia Township.

Both men were listed in critical condition at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland and the accident remains under investigation. See Thursday’s Chronicle-Telegram for additional details.
