Firelands teacher remains in critical condition

Three men involved in separate car crashes last week are continuing to improve, according to a hospital spokeswoman, but a Firelands teacher involved in one of the crashes remains in critical condition.

Donald Kneisel, 79, who was involved in the Russia Road collision Nov. 22, was listed Monday in good condition.

James Muth, 39, a Firelands High School teacher who was in the vehicle that collided with Kneisel’s, remains in critical condition.

Joshua Beckley and Robert Allen Brown, both 25, also were listed in good condition. Brown was driving a car with Beckley as a passenger when they struck a tree on Colorado Avenue in Lorain in the early morning hours Thursday.

All of the men had been flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
