CARLISLE TWP. — Some Carlisle Township residents are temporarily without water as the county engineer’s office responds to a water main break on East River Road.
The engineer’s office couldn’t say when water service would be restored, but said crews are currently on the scene repairing the main line break.
Workers “had to shut off some valves,” according to the engineer’s office. This affects residents on Carol, Robert and Penny lanes, in addition to East River, according to an Elyria Utilities Department supervisor who was familiar with the situation.
Engineer’s office employees couldn’t say what other areas might be affected, but a Chronicle Facebook fan reported having no water in the Colonial Oaks mobile home park.
The engineer’s office couldn’t immediately say whether boiling water would be necessary once water service is restored.
