Critter Chronicles: Tonka

Hi, I am Tonka! After a brief stay at Friendship APL, a volunteer offered to provide foster care and discovered that I have seizures. I’m taking medicine, which controls the seizures. I have not had a seizure for a long time. I will need lab work done every six months to check the medicine level. My foster family reports that I’m very smart and already know many commands (sit, stay, shake, high-five and leave it). I am housebroken, but drink a lot of water and need to go outside often. I learn new things quickly, so I would be a trainers dream. I love to run and play fetch. I love, love, love other dogs and all people, but older children would be best because I’m still a bouncy pup. I am learning that cats are not play toys. All-in-all, I’m the happiest puppy youll ever meet and will make you laugh out loud! I hope you visit me at Friendship APL and hope that you might be the lucky family that will be my fun-filled, forever home. I am still in foster care, so please contact Mary at volunteer@friendshipapl.org to arrange to see me.
