Suspected Lorain gang member is Marshals’ fugitive of the week

Echols

A Lorain man who is wanted in connection with a crackdown on the MOB gang is the U.S. Marshals’ fugitive of the week.

Eric Echols, 21, has a warrant for participating in a criminal gang. According to Marshals, he was also involved in a domestic dispute with the mother of his child in the 800 block of West 18th Street Sunday night.

Echols is one of 22 people police and Marshals have sought out in connection to the gang. So far, 18 people have been arrested.

The Lorain Police Department believes that the gang is responsible for at least nine of the last 12 murders in the city and a slew of other violent crimes that include home invasions, shootings, intimidation and drug trafficking.

Anyone who has information on Echols’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED or text keyword WANTED and tip to 847411 (tip411). Tipsters can remain anonymous and reward money is available.
