What do you do to practice?

Miss Shannon had me throw the ball and practice in the gym.

Do you have a special regimen for food?

I eat everything.

Pizza?

Yeah.

Fruit?

Yeah. I drink milk and lots of water.

Did you get butterflies before the event?

Yeah, a little bit.

Did you like the softball event or the running events better?

I liked the running better.

Who’s your hero?

Coach — coach Gary (Huff).

Do you like cooler weather or hot weather?

I like hot weather.

Do any of your family help you train?

Yeah, my brother, Gio, and my sister, Selena. We go to the park and throw the ball around.

What other events do you have coming up today?

The relay and the 100 meter dash.

Is this your first Olympics?

No, I was here last year. I ran.

When you’re not training for the Olympics, what do you like to do?

Games. I like “SpongeBob.” I watch cartoons and movies.

What’s a good movie we should watch?

“Scooby Doo.”

Anything else?

I was in a talent show. I sung “Baby” (by Justin Bieber).
