John Mark Green II

John Mark Green II, 42, of Lorain, succumbed to a lengthy battle with RA on Friday, June 1, 2012.

John was a Lorain resident his entire life, and was employed by Republic Steel, Lorain, as an operating mechanic in the rolling mill since 2000. He loved animals, and had many other interests including his motorcycle, attending concerts, was an avid sports fan, NASCAR and IndyCar races, camping, and he loved his family.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 24 years, Patricia (nee Westfall); sons, John Mark Green III of Lorain and Specialist 4 Tyler Austin Green, stationed in Germany; parents, John Mark Green I (Darlene) of Vermilion and Joyce Martin (Bill) of Lorain; two brothers; a step-brother; a step-sister; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Norm and Mary Green; maternal grandmother, Emma “Pat” Vasseur; and in-laws, Gene Westfall and Helen Daily.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 E. 31st St., South Lorain, 440-277-8164. Per Johns request, please dress casual, jeans and a T-shirt, just come as you are. Interment will be private.
