BEREA – The Browns have shot down a rumor started this afternoon in Philadelphia.
“The Cleveland Browns are not for sale,” spokesman Neal Gulkis just told The Chronicle-Telegram.
Owner Randy Lerner has repeatedly expressed his commitment to the organization in his nearly 10 years of ownership. But Howard Eskin of WIP in Philadelphia got talk radio buzzing today when he said he was told by an NFL source the Browns “may be for sale.”
The Browns have rejected that notion.
