Two people in good condition after weekend motorcycle accident

HENRIETTA TWP. — A man on a motorcycle and his passenger were injured Saturday after an Amherst woman failed to yield to a stop sign.

According to State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 4:21 p.m. Saturday at State Route 113 and Vermilion Road.

Ruth Butts, 50, of Amherst, was traveling southbound in a 2005 Chevy Silverado when she failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a 2004 Harley Davidson, traveling eastbound.

The driver of the motorcycle, Richard Resar, 55, of Grafton, was transferred to Allen Memorial Hospital and later flown to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. A passenger, Georgina Resar, was also flown to MetroHealth. They were both listed in good condition Monday afternoon.

According to Highway Patrol, no charges have been made yet, pending an investigation.
