Next Lorain County Fitness Walk is Monday, June 18 at 12 PM

The next Lorain County Fitness Walk is Monday, June 18, 2012 at 12 PM, noon.


If you’re looking for a way to keep active, get information about health and fitness, and have fun all at once — Lorain County Fitness Walks is for you!


The Fitness Walk is a weekly walking group, meeting in Oberlin, and is free and open to all ages.
** Please note, this will event will take place rain or shine**


All WALKS start at the Lorain County MetroParks Splash Zone facilities, located at 95 West Hamilton Rd., Oberlin, Ohio 44074.

On Monday, June 18th beginning at 12 PM, first time walkers will pick up a pedometer, bottle of water and register for a chance to win prizes. At 12:10 PM, there will be a short health talk provided by Dr. Jack Coates, Lorain County Chiropractor.
The talk will be followed by a 30-minute group walk where you have the opportunity to discuss health, enjoy time outdoors and get to know fellow walkers. Following the walk, participants can pick up a goodie bag.

The Lorain County Fitness Walks will feature health and fitness topics shared by a local expert every week. Complimentary blood pressure measurement will also be available. WOBL/WDLW personalities will be joining the walking group too – so, get active and explore Lorain County!

The Lorain County Fitness Walks are sponsored by the Lorain County General Health District, WOBL 1320AM, WDLW 1380AM, Mercy and the Lorain County MetroParks.

Mark your calendar for the upcoming Lorain County Fitness Walks! Join a walk whenever you have time in your schedule, weekly commitments are not necessary.
