LORAIN — Someone made off with one of the city’s riding lawn mowers on Thursday.
According to a Lorain police report, a city crew cutting the grass at Streator Park had parked three riding mowers when they went to lunch around 11 a.m.
When they returned around noon they discovered that one of the mowers, a yellow 2009 Hustler riding mower with the number 132 painted on the gas tank, was missing.
People in the park gave the crew a vague description of the man who allegedly stole the mower, but police were unable to locate him or the mower while searching the area.
