Dan E. Brown, 65, of Elyria, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012 in the West Bay Care Center, following a long illness. He was born in Meridian, Mississippi.
Mr. Brown was a truck driver and an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his wife, Erma Brown of Elyria; mother, Mary Pearl Colbert of Baltimore, Maryland; daughters, Talita C. Brown of Dallas, Texas and Malory Brown of Toledo; son, Corteney Brown of Baltimore, Maryland; brothers, Leslie Colbert of Austin, Wisconsin, Dana of Wellington, and Michael Williams of Elyria; sisters, Sarah (Robert) Means of Kentucky, Johnnie Bewster, Dorothy (James) Myrick of Baltimore, Maryland, and Michelle Stoder of Florida; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Kevin Brown, Kenneth Williams, and Ralph Williams; and father, Dan James Cost.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Brookdale Cemetery, 41600 Oberlin Elyria Rd., Elyria, at 11:30 A.M. Rev. Donald Brown will give words of comfort.
