Arletta M. Neumeyer, 82, of Erhart, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Arletta was born July 9, 1929 in Erhart, to the late Jacob and Claribel Haury.
She was a member of the Medina Moose Lodge, the Medina Eagles and Circle of Friends. Arletta had been a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and the Erhart Fire and Rescue Department for many years. She had worked for American Safety for eight years and retired after 17 years from Par Industries, formerly of Medina. Arletta was noted for her excellent cooking and baking, and she treasured her children, grand and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Jackie (Mark) Kettunen of Connecticut, Sandy (Ron) Dobbins of Grafton, Lenny Neumeyer of Penfield, Tom (Judi) Neumeyer of Milan, and Paul (Joanne) Neumeyer of Strongsville; 18 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis (Sam) Neumeyer in 1983; brother, Barney Haury; and sisters, Dolores Haas, Bernadine Tibbits, Pearl Heckler, Ruby Nyflenger and Celeste Filous.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 22, 2012 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the Bauer Funeral Home, 2089 Columbia Rd., Valley City. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 1 P.M. at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1800 Station Rd., Valley City, with Rev. Thomas Dunphy officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Church Cemetery, in Valley City.
