Andrew “Bud” White, 73, of Sullivan, went home to be with his Lord, Thursday, June 21, 2012. After a battle with cancer, he passed away at his home, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Logan, West Virginia, November 13, 1938, to Andrew and Ava (nee Ellis) White, Andrew grew up in Wayne County, West Virginia.
In 1957, he moved to Ohio and settled in Sullivan in 1972. Andrew worked at the Ford Motor Company in Brook Park, retiring as general foreman. A devoted servant of the Lord, Andrew served as deacon of Pleasant View Church for many years, he was a lifetime farmer and avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Eloise (nee Maynard) White; and two sons, Dana (Tammy Lyn) of Sullivan and Darren (Tammy Marie) of Ashland; grandchildren, Michelle White, Rachel Motter (Christian), Dillon White, Darren White II, Spencer White and Hannah White; he is also survived by five brothers, Freelan White of Sullivan, Tenis (Gail) White of Wellington, Raymond (Marjetta) White of Wakeman, Tommy (Julia) White of Wayne, West Virginia and Don (Sharon) White of Dunlow, West Virginia; and six sisters, Myrtle Thompson of Fort Gay, West Virginia, Sue (Garland) Wilson of Ocala, Florida, Brenda (Charles) Jarvis of Rittman, Shirley (Norman) Maynard of Wayne, West Virginia, Karen (Herman) Williamson of Dunlow, West Virginia, and Lois (Ronnie) Little of Crum, West Virginia.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Ava White; two brothers, Robert White and Billy Jo White; and a granddaughter, Treasure White.
Family and friends will be received Sunday, June 24, 2012, from 3 P.M. until evening service at 6 P.M., in the Pleasant View Church, 3589 Beat Rd., Litchfield. Funeral service will be in the church Monday, June 25, 2012, at 10 A.M., with Pastor Larry Newsome officiating. Burial will follow at the Sullivan Township Cemetery.
