Anita Diane Banach (nee Craig), 48, of Grafton, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012, at home, following a short illness. She was born January 21, 1964 in Elyria.
Anita worked as a Service Manager at Gunn Honda in San Antonio, Texas. She loved spending time with her family, reading, and strengthening her relationship with Christ. Anita enjoyed new business opportunities, and was a lover of animals.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Leo; a daughter, Rachel Cunningham of New York, New York; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Banach; and a stepson, James Banach, both of Lorain. Additional survivors include her mother, Elsie Craig (nee Anderson) of Elyria; two sisters, Susan M. Lewis (Ronald) of LaGrange, Kathy Craig (Scott Mizen) of Grafton; a half brother, Richard Craig of Crestwood, Kentucky; and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bartlett Craig. Friends may call 4 until 7 P.M., Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria (440) 322-4626, where funeral services will be at 11 A.M., Thursday, June 28, 2012. Pastor Laurie Miller will officiate. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
