Virginia A. Mourer (nee Eis), 99, of Grafton, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, at EMH Healthcare in Elyria, after a sudden illness. She was born June 24, 1913, in Jay County, Indiana.
Virginia graduated from high school in Delphi, Indiana and married Raymond E. Mourer. Virginia and Raymond moved to Ohio in 1990. Raymond died in 1991. Also preceding her in death was their son, Gene Raymond, who died in 1950. Before moving to Ohio, Virginia and Raymond lived in South Bend, Indiana, where Virginia worked in social work for the Cares Program through Notre Dame University. Virginia was an avid gardener and reader and loved to watch the Cleveland Indians play on TV. Her greatest joy came from visits with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Virginia was a member of the Belden United Methodist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Sharon Pall (Larry); granddaughter, Laura Pall DeVengencie (Jim); grandson, Brian Pall (Michele) of Jacksonville, Florida; great-grandchildren, Ivana, Faith, Dominic and Gino DeVengencie, Ellie, Evan, and Abby Pall.
Virginia decided to donate her body for medical science. There will be a Memorial Service at the Belden United Methodist Church, 36130 State Route 303, Grafton, Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at 7:30 P.M. Pastor Jeff Lanzer will officiate. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Belden United Methodist Church.
