Marjorie Elizabeth Bradish

Marjorie Elizabeth (Ross) Bradish, 96, formerly of Wakeman, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Bradley Bay Nursing Home in Bay Village. She was born March 25, 1916, in Wakeman, and graduated from Wakeman High School in 1934.

She worked in her early years as a seamstress at Halle’s, in downtown Cleveland, while taking business classes. She worked for 30 years for the Fraser Mortgage Company in Cleveland, retiring as executive secretary. She donated many hours of sewing, and volunteering at the Rocky River Senior Center. She also served on the board of Cogswell Hall, a home in Cleveland for senior women, from 1971 through 1996. She traveled extensively, including trips to Japan, Alaska, England, Mexico, and a tour of the Grand Canyon by bus in 1936.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Lois Ross of Wakeman; nephews, David (Patty) Ross of Wakeman, and Joel (Janet) Ross of Stow.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew in 2007; her parents Lee and Ruth (Shelton) Ross; a twin brother, Richard in 2007; and a nephew, Steve Ross, in 1980.

Graveside service will be held Friday, July 6, 2012, 11 A.M. at the Wakeman Cemetery. The Reverend Dr. Janet Ross will officiate.
