Pauletta Dawn James, 45, of LaGrange, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012, in the West Virginia University Hospital, after a sudden illness. She was born September 27, 1966 in Lodi, and lived her entire life in Lorain County.
Pauletta was a 1985 graduate of Keystone High School, and a member of the Midway Baptist Church in Elyria. She was a homemaker who was an avid Keystone basketball fan, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends in West Virginia. She loved music, loved to sing, and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Eddie James; her son, Jesse James of LaGrange; and by her parents, Wilbert and Arlene Reed of Grafton. Survivors also include her sisters, Ramona Dobbins of LaGrange, Reta (Brad) Smith of LaGrange; brothers, Roger (Rebecca) Reed of Penfield, Dennis Reed of Normantown, West Virginia; her mother-in-law, Lois James of Columbia Station; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Dale Reed in 1964; and by her father-in-law, Dallas “Gramps” James in 2011.
Friends and family may call Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 2 until 6 P.M. in the Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Rd., Elyria, where funeral service will be held Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 11 A.M. Rev. Charles Keesee, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the church or to KATS athletic.
