8:05 p.m. — 300 block of Windsor Drive, Thomas A. Frankeberger, 27, same address, arrested for a bench warrant through Elyria Municipal Court, and Tara Abbe, 23, same address, arrested for a warrant through the Avon Police Department. Police said officers were dispatched to the residence to serve warrants and for a possible meth lab being cooked in the basement, along with several handguns in the residence.
6:45 p.m. – 1000 block of Chestnut Commons Drive, reported theft of a handicapped placard.
Saturday, June 30
11:30 p.m. — Reid Avenue and West 17th Street, Martin Henderson, 32, charged with OVI, driving under suspension, failure to yield to a stop sign, no lighted lights, operating without proof of insurance, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business. Police said Henderson failed a field sobriety test and then argued with a police officer. Police said Henderson had two prior OVI convictions in 2001 and 2008.
Thursday, July 5
7:17 p.m. — 1500 block Fillmore Ave., Dustin A. Nelson, 23, same address, charged with menacing, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Seth M. Lawhorn, 21, 400 block of Florida Ave., arrested and charged with aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct. Police said both men were involved in a fight in the area, and Lawhorn was threatening others with a metal pipe. Nelson told police he was driving down the street when a large group of people would not move out of the roadway. He said that when he yelled at the people, an unknown person struck him in the head with a beer bottle.
Friday, July 6
11:40 a.m. — 1600 block of E. 30th St., Brian M. Hitchens, 34, same address, charged with disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct persisting, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Police said Hitchens refused to provide officers his name during an investigation and swore at a police officer in the presence of small children.
2:59 p.m. — 100 block W. Erie Ave., two women reported that they were attacked by five females after leaving a candlelight vigil for Dale and Justin Linder. The women said the five females threw rocks at their vehicle and hit one of them in the head with a rock. Police said the women knew their attackers and have had issues with them in the past.
4:15 p.m. — 2200 block Hancock St., theft of a license plate.
4:34 p.m. — 2000 block Stonepath St., reported criminal damaging of a motor vehicle. A woman said someone poured Irish Rose on the hood of her car, her license plate was cracked and several dents were on the passenger’s door.
6:50 p.m. – 1600 block W. 30th St., reported window shattered on a porch.
