Tuesday, July 17
1:57 p.m. —100 block W. Erie Ave., Michael E. Vimpeny, 30, arrested and charged with endangering children. Vimpeny’s wife said Vimpeny hit his 7-year-old daughter in the face while he was drinking. She said the couple’s other child witnessed the incident.
Sunday, July 22
8:02 a.m. —100 block W. Erie Ave., a man reported that he left his car in the parking lot of 1844 E. 28th St., and when he returned, “KKK” was carved into the vehicle as well as expletives.
10:23 a.m. — 900 block W. 21st St., reported theft from a motor vehicle.
1:12 p.m. — Grove Avenue, Orlando R. Agosto, 31, 4400 block Camden Ave., arrested and charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Police said Agosto also had a warrant for driving under suspension. Police said Agosto was riding his bicycle erratically in traffic and ran and hid from officers after providing a false ID.
4:47 p.m. — 800 block W. 22nd St., reported theft of a grill from a residence.
5:01 p.m. — 2200 block Fairless Drive, reported robbery from Dollar General. A manager said she witnessed a 30-year-old Hispanic man, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 170 pounds, conceal undergarments in his pants. When she confronted him, the manager said the suspect threw the items on the floor and left the store.
7:45 p.m. — Pawlak Park, a man told police he was robbed in the park. He said the suspect asked him for $10 and then punched him in the face and took his money. Police said a suspect was named, but the suspect said he was being mistaken for someone else.

Sunday, July 22
9:39 a.m. — 400 block Whitman Blvd., reported theft from a motor vehicle. Police said a GPS was reported stolen.
1 p.m. — 1900 block Fowl Road, reported burglary. A resident said the suspect broke in through a balcony window and stole several items.
Monday, July 23
12:44 a.m. — 100 block West Ave., reported theft of a bicycle. A man told police his neighbor saw a male steal the bike. The bicycle was described as a green and white Mongoose-style bike with no handle bar grips.
7 a.m. — 200 block Brunswick Drive, reported burglary. A resident said his rear glass door was shattered, and a television and a PlayStation 3 were stolen.
8:16 a.m. — 6100 block West River Road S., police said a window was broken at Roosevelt School.
9:01 p.m. — 300 block Broad St., Shane E. Thompson, 37, 100 block N. Gateway Boulevard, arrested and charged with assault and criminal damaging. Police said Thompson was outside of Boomer’s Bar pushing and throwing objects at another man. The man said Thompson refused to leave Boomer’s from which he had been reportedly banned. The man said Thompson then threw a bottle of vodka, striking him with it, and punched him and broke his glasses.
Tuesday, July 24
6:59 a.m. — 200 block Mockingbird Lane, reported stolen vehicle. A woman reported her 2007 Chevy Trailblazer was stolen from in front of her apartment.
7:46 a.m. — 41000 block Griswold Road, reported breaking and entering of Willoughby Supply. A man reported that the fence around the building had been cut, and several boxes of roofing material were missing.
