ELYRIA — Bill Hudnutt has been named general manager of The Chronicle-Telegram.
Hudnutt, 29, who had been the newspaper’s Web publisher, will have specific responsibility for ad sales and maintenance of the company’s plant at 225 East Ave. He will also serve as the newspaper’s ambassador to the community.
Paul Martin, president and CEO of Lorain County Printing & Publishing Co., the newspaper’s parent company, announced Hudnutt’s appointment Wednesday.
Hudnutt is the son of A. Cooper Hudnutt, the late publisher of The Chronicle. He is also a great-grandson of A.C. Hudnutt, whose purchase of his partner’s interest in the newspaper in 1927 gave him control of it.
The Hudnutt family has owned the paper ever since.
