Linda K. Novak (nee McGrady), 57, of Wellington, passed away, Monday, July 23, 2012, at Metro General Hospital in Cleveland, following a short illness. She was born in Condit, Ohio, and had been a resident of Wellington for the past 12 years, moving from Oberlin.
She worked as a secretary for Mercy Allen Hospital, in the Radiology Department. Linda enjoyed collecting and selling Longaberger Baskets, bowling, camping, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 15 years, George Thomas “Skip” Novak II; daughters, Tiffany Durst of Mansfield, Danielle Salyer of Sunbury; son, Chad Salyer of Wellington; grandchildren, Jordan Phillips of Newark, Maygan Durst of Mansfield, Levi and Elainee Durst, both of Fredericktown, Amy and Trent Pettit, both of Sunbury; brothers, Gordon Feasel, Marvin McGrady; sisters, Karen (David) Whirl, Wanda (Randal) Pierce; mother, Marjorie McGrady of Roaming Shores.
She was preceded in death by her son, Eric Salyer; brother, Keith McGrady; and father, Harold McGrady.
Friends may call Friday, July 27, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Service will be held, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1 P.M. in the funeral home. Reverend Chuck Behrens will officiate. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp.
