Mary C. McLaughlin

Mary C. McLaughlin (nee Gross), 91, of Elyria, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Life Care Center of Elyria, following a short illness. Mary was born December 6, 1920 in Norwalk and lived in Elyria for most of her life.

She was a homemaker and a charter member of St. Jude Church, the church’s Altar and Rosary Society, and Mission Circle. She enjoyed her family.

She is survived by her two sons, James and Robert J. McLaughlin; four daughters, Carol (Doyle) Bryson, Jean (John) Fitzpatrick, Mary Lou (Jim) Ruminski, and Patricia (Donald) Casper; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; also surviving are two sisters, Phyllis Rhoad and Gerry Schneider; and one brother, Paul Gross.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2005; three brothers, Charles, Raymond and Norbert Gross; and her parents, Joseph and Agnes (nee Schaffer) Gross.

Friends will be received at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland Street, Elyria, Friday, July 27, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M. Closing prayers will be in the funeral home, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 9 A.M. followed by Mass at 9:30 A.M. at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria, with the Reverend Father John Vrana, Associate Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
