Alberta Black (nee Becker), went home to be with our Lord, Friday, July 13, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born July 29, 1933, in Oberlin, to the late Carl and Blanche (nee Betts) Becker.
Alberta was a life resident of Henrietta Township. She loved traveling, camping, and cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed her home in the country and visits from loved ones.
Alberta was married to her loving husband, Don Black, who preceded her in death, July 28, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her son, John, in 1989.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Black of South Amherst; her son, David Black (Kim) of Chesapeake, Virginia; and their sons, Kevin and Adam Black; her sister, Dorothy Martin; and her nephew, Dwayne Becker (Jennifer), and their son Jonah. She also had many nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial will be 4:30 P.M., Monday, August 13, 2012, at Rugby Cemetery, North Ridge Road, Brownhelm. Immediately following, the family would like you to join them for a celebration of Alberta’s life at the Carriage Barn in Mill Hollow Reservation until 8:30 P.M.
