Bertha Dushenske “Little Bert”, 88, a member of the Zion United Methodist Church and loved family friend, went peacefully to the Lord on Monday August 6, 2012.
She was active in church rummage sales, dinners, and with the quilting group. She provided transportation to friends when needed. Bertha was the Carlisle Grange secretary for over 20 years and was presented with service awards for jobs well done. She also worked many years at the Lorain County Fair working on dinners. Bertha spent her last few years at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home, where she enjoyed bingo, cards, movies, dinners, holiday entertainment and the Bible study group. She interacted well with the staff and her roommates and will be greatly missed.
Friends may call in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, Thursday August 9, 2012, from Noon until services at 1:30 P.M. Reverend Ralph Krall, Pastor of the LaGrange United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in South Murray Ridge Cemetery, Carlisle Twp.
