Monday, July 6
1:50 a.m. — 300 block W. 26th St., reported breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. The vehicle’s owner said the door was unlocked and it appeared as if someone went through the vehicle, but nothing was missing.
7:45 p.m. — 700 block Oberlin Ave., reported burglary.
11:53 p.m. — 300 block W. 31st St., reported burglary. A woman said the door of her residence had been kicked open, but nothing appeared to be taken.
Tuesday, July 7
4:14 p.m. — 100 block W. Erie Ave., a woman said her 13-year-old son was being threatened by a juvenile with whom he went to school. She said the juvenile told her son he would stab him with a knife on their first day at Longfellow Middle School.
9:47 p.m. — 2300 block W. 24th St., Tisha N. Brooks-Haynes, 30, 2200 block W. 23rd St., arrested and charged with criminal damaging and aggravated trespassing. A woman said Brooks-Haynes kicked open her door. Police said the lock on the woman’s screen door was broken.
10:22 p.m. — 1100 block W. Ninth St., a woman told police she returned home to hear two male voices near her back door. The woman said her home was ransacked, and two televisions and various CDs were missing.
Wednesday, July 8
2:04 p.m. — Ashland Avenue and Tower Boulevard, Justin Smith, 20, 1000 block W. 10th St., arrested and charged with burglary. A woman said she witnessed Smith leaving her sister’s garage with her niece’s bicycle. Smith said he found the bike behind Long John Silver.

3:52 p.m. — Center Ridge Road at Breck Court, Lawrence H. Mitchell, 72, Avon, charged with traffic signals, and resisting an enforcing official.
4:10 p.m. — 6000 block Jaycox Road, a 17-year-old girl was referred to juvenile court for an alleged assault involving a 15-year-old female at an apartment complex.
Saturday, Aug. 4
2:42 a.m. — Center Ridge Road between Jaycox Road and Pitts Boulevard, Nathan R. Goins, 35, Olmsted Falls, charged with driving under the influence and marked lanes.
4:44 p.m. — Center Ridge and Case roads, Robert A. Schofield, 46, Elyria, charged with driving under the influence and red light violation.
Monday, Aug. 6
1:30 a.m. — Mills Road and state Route 83, Michael A. Topa, 33, Avon Lake, cited for speeding and driving under the influence.
11:13 p.m. — 5700 block Cornell Ave., James T. Bradley IV, 19, North Ridgeville, charged with reckless operation, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police had responded to reports of a one-car accident in which a vehicle struck a mailbox and a parked car in a driveway.
