LORAIN — Police today said that a woman whose body was found at a Lorain apartment complex yesterday was a victim of homicide, and they’ve arrested a suspect and a found second “person of interest.”
The body of Catherine Hoholski, 26, of Lorain, was found yesterday at 2102 Tower Blvd.
Lt. Mark Carpentiere wouldn’t say where in the apartment building the woman’s body was found or whether their was any obvious cause of death.
“There’s a lot we’re not releasing right now,” he said.
Albert Fine, 30, of Lorain, was arrested without incident Thursday in Lexington, Ky. Carpentiere said Fine was Hoholski’s boyfriend. Merry Bennett, 32, of Lorain, who was wanted for questioning, also was found, but she was not arrested or charged.
Carpentiere wouldn’t say when they believe Hoholski was killed, but neighbors at the scene reported noticing a foul odor in the building since the beginning of July.
A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Fine’s arrest.
