Elyria’s Tianna Madison led the U.S. women’s 400-meter relay team to not only a gold medal but a world record this afternoon at the Olympics in London.
The team of Madison, Allyson Felix, Bianca Knight and Carmelita Jeter ran 40.82 seconds, holding off the second-place Jamaican team and smashing the previous world record of 41.37.
