WADSWORTH — U.S. Marshals from Akron apprehended murder suspect Nathan Summerfield in the city this morning, according to Chief Deputy Tom Miller, of the Medina County Sheriff’s Office.
Summerfield, 27, is the prime suspect in the murder of Lynn Jackenheimer, 33, of Ashland County, whose body was found last month in North Carolina. She died from strangulation and stab wounds, police have said.
Summerfield, also of Ashland, is being transported to the Medina County Jail, the chief said.
“We’ve been notified by U.S. Marshals he’s going to be coming here for normal the booking and interview process,” Miller said.
An extradition hearing for Summerfield is likely to occur in Medina County Common Pleas court, the chief said.
