Bonadine P. “Bonnie” Nguyen (nee McDivitt), 70, of Cleveland, died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at MetroHealth Medical Center, after a three year illness. She was born June 16, 1942 in Columbus, and had been a resident of Cleveland for 31 years.
Bonnie was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 34 years, most of which was at Century Oak Care Center in Berea. She was a member of the former Christ Lutheran Church in Cleveland and attended Wellington Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her mom, time spent with her kids, weddings, picnics, family get togethers, dancing and watching Cleveland Indians baseball.
Bonnie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Le H. Nguyen of Cleveland; sons, Paul Joseph Luther of Toledo, Matthew (Kathie) Luther of Muskegon, Michigan, Andrew (Emma Kate) Luther of Chicago, Illinois and Jason Nguyen of Cleveland; brother, Richard L (Ann) McDivitt of Hoschton, Georgia; sisters, Carol S. (Roger) Roberts and Tina J. (Alan) Workman, both of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna E. (nee Lee) McDivitt in 1995; father, William R. McDivitt in 1974; and brother, John W. McDivitt, Sr. in 1994.
Family will receive friends Saturday, August 18, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M., in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria, where a funeral service will be Monday, August 20, 2012, at 10 A.M., in the funeral home. Pastor Joshua Workman will officiate and burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
