Midview senior designs 2012 Junior Fair T-shirt

WELLINGTON — This year’s official Lorain County Fair Junior Fair T-shirt was designed by Emily Edwards of North Ridgeville.

Edwards, who is a senior at Midview High School and Lorain County Joint Vocational School, created the design, which consists of a cowboy hat, guitar and musical notes and bears the saying “Western nights under midway lights.”

Edwards also designed the official 4-H thank you notes that 4-H members are encouraged to send out. Edwards is a member of the Belden B’s & G’s 4-H club.

Edwards said she’s entered the contests before and was a winner last year for thank you notes.

She said art is a hobby, but she plans to go into the medical field after graduation.

Emily, who is on the Junior Fair board, has a message for anyone who’s coming out to the fair this week.

“Have fun, and stop by the Junior Fair office — Barn 14,” she said.

T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts are available in a variety of colors at the Junior Fair office. T-shirts are $10, and sweatshirts are $20.
