Jerry Armstrong, 24, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at Medical city Hospital in Dallas, Texas, after a long, courageous battle with leukemia. He was the beloved husband of Mackenzie Armstrong of Fort Worth, Texas.
He was born July 28, 1988 in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of Jerry Armstrong, Jr. and Mary Armstrong. He grew up in Bristolville, Ohio and Sheffield Lake, Ohio.
In addition to his wife, Mackenzie, he is survived by his mother, Mary Armstong of Sheffield Lake; father, Jerry Armstrong, Jr. of Champion; brothers, Jeff Armstrong of Sheffield Lake and Nick Armstrong of Champion; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Leuella Hughes of West Farmington; paternal grandmother, Joan Armstrong of Champion; as well as loving uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Jerry was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp and is deaerly loved and missed by his family and friends. Jerry loved cats and enjoyed reading, watching movies, and playing video games. Jerry was an amazing man and incredibly strong and brave.
A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Oak River Church, 32405 Aurora Rd., Solon, Ohio 44139.
