Wednesday, Sept. 5
12:01 a.m. — Foster Avenue and Jefferson Street, Richard L. Collins, 53, 500 block Walnut St., issued a citation for assault. A man told police Collins had struck him with a beer bottle at Settle Inn and ran. Collins admitted to striking the man with a beer bottle because he was “talking (expletive)” about his daughter.
1:09 a.m. — 100 block Fox Chase Drive, reported burglary to a trailer. A woman told police her DVD player and $225 in cash had been stolen.
5:20 a.m. — 1000 block Barbara St., John Mitchell Jr., 50, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Mitchell’s girlfriend said Mitchell punched her during an argument. Police said the woman’s eye and forehead were swollen and bruised. Mitchell denied hitting his girlfriend and said she scratched him in the neck.
Thursday, Sept. 6
11:47 a.m. — 500 block Second St., reported burglary of a home.
3:21 p.m. — 100 block East Ave., reported theft of an air conditioning unit.
8:30 p.m. — 100 block West Ave., a woman reported someone had thrown a rock through her car’s window while it was parked at the West River Road entrance of Cascade Park. She told police nothing was missing from the vehicle, but the passenger window was smashed.
10:45 p.m. — 300 block Barres Lane, Earlie Quinn, 40, 200 block Washington Ave., arrested and charged with theft. Police said Quinn was caught breaking into a man’s car and had stolen cigarettes from the vehicle that he tossed on the ground. Several neighbors witnessed Quinn inside the vehicle and detained him until police arrived. Police did not locate tools that were reported stolen from the vehicle.
Friday, Sept. 7
3:30 a.m. — 800 block Allen St., Siera Newton, 25, 100 block Mendel Court, arrested and charged with criminal trespassing. Police said Newton was intoxicated and kept returning to a home that she had been asked to leave.

Saturday, Sept. 1
3:29 p.m. — West 34th Street and Oberlin Avenue, Nicola Wade, 38, 1500 block of Herbert Drive, arrested and charged with disorderly conduct persisting, disorderly conduct intoxicated, menacing, assault of a police officer and resisting arrest. Police said Wade was sleeping on the side of the road and was intoxicated. Police said Wade threatened LifeCare personnel and kicked a police officer after she was arrested.

8:35 a.m. — 1100 block Root Road, a woman told police her 11-year-old son saw a white man with short blond hair looking at him through his window. Police said a path of foot prints was visible leading from the area to a vacant home near the residence.
5:21 a.m. — 200 block E. 32nd Street, reported stolen vehicle. A man said he left his keys under the driver’s seat of his vehicle, and the car was missing the next day. The man told police he believed the suspect who stole the car was a man he gave a ride to Dairy Mart that day. He described the man as a 20-year-old black man, approximately 230 pounds and 5-feet, 10-inches tall, wearing a red hat and white T-shirt. He said the man told him his name was Chris.
Thursday, Sept. 6
12:09 a.m. — Reid Avenue and West 17th Street, Derrick J. Cantu, 26, 1100 block W. 29th St., arrested and charged with failure to control, driving under the influence and driving under suspension. Police said Cantu struck a telephone pole and admitted to drinking that night. Police said Cantu’s breath test result was a .200 percent, and Cantu said he did not have a driver’s license due to a drug suspension.
7 p.m. — 3500 block Dallas Ave., reported theft of a bicycle from a garage.
