Frances Dunkle Coffin, 90, of Kendal at Oberlin, formerly of Bay Village and Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, died Saturday, September 8, 2012.
Fran was employed from 1950-1959 at NASA Glenn Research Center, leaving NASA to raise a family. She later taught chemistry at Baldwin Wallace College and other local colleges. Fran was also a life-long Girl Scout.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Emadi (husband Mehrdad), Susan Coffin, Nancy Coffin (husband Omar Mohammad); and grandsons, Kian, Sassan, Nizar, and Yazan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Putnam Coffin.
Memorial service will be Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 2 P.M. at Kendal at Oberlin. The Rev. Dr. Brian K. Wilbert, Rector of Christ Episcopal Church, Oberlin, will officiate.
