LORAIN — A 26-year-old Lorain man told police he was attacked by a group of teenagers while walking near Walgreens on Broadway Avenue Monday evening.
Police were sent to the Walgreens at 8:40 p.m. to meet with the victim, Joshua Casner.
Casner said he was walking to the store when three teenagers approached him and asked him if he had any drugs or guns for sale. When he told them he didn’t, Casner said the three attacked him, punching him in the head and body.
Casner said the suspects then ran westbound toward Reid Avenue, so he ran to Walgreens to call police.
The suspects were described as 16- to 18-year-old boys, one of which was a white male, approximately 5-foot -9 with a medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The other suspects were a black male, approximately 6-foot with a medium build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans and a Hispanic male, approximately 6-foot with a thin build, wearing blue jeans and a dark T-shirt.
Casner said he did not get a good look at any of the boys, because it was dark outside. Police did not locate the suspects.
