Shirley Ann Fair, 77, of Elyria, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Shirley was born April 28, 1935, in Wellington.
Shirley devoted her entire life to her husband, children, and grandchildren and family. She was happily married to the love of her life, Charles (Chuck) Fair, for 57 years.
Shirley is also survived by three daughters, Sandy (Mark) Stewart, Trudy (Tony) Lane and Melissa (Michael) Filipiak.
She was affectionately known as Granny to her nine grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Sarah, Richard, Joseph, Anthony, Alyxandra, Madison and Jillian. She is also survived by a loving brother, Richard (Barb) Ward; and a sister, Bonnie Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Daisy Ward; one son, Chucky; two brothers, Jake and Walter Ward; and a sister, Treva Neal.
Shirley’s career included working at Tappan Foundry, Days Inn, and Team Health of Amherst. Shirley and Chuck were tirelessly active with Lowell Street Baptist Church, The P.T.A., the Elyria West Band, and the Elyria Democratic Party.
Friends may call at the Reichlin Roberts Funeral Home, 327 Cleveland St., Elyria, Wednesday, September 19, 2012, from 5 P.M until 8 P.M. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 10 A.M. Thursday, September 20, 2012. Reverend Edwin R. Gore, Sr. Pastor of the Lowell Street Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
