Charlotte Roberta Holmes, 86, of Princeton, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at Princeton Health Care. Born June 9, 1926 in Mercer County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Eureka Beggs.
She was employed by Moen and was a small business owner in Ohio before returning to West Virginia. She loved animals and was a volunteer for Experience Works.
Survivors include one son, Jack Lusk and wife, Yari of Texas; three granddaughters, Chelsea, Audrey and Vanessa; one brother, Fred Beggs; three sisters, Elizabeth Mabe, Nawasa Minnix and Eva Perkins; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, Johnnie Lusk and Rickey Lusk; brothers, Mason Beggs and Charlie Beggs; sisters, Vada Beggs, Eunice Duncan and Juanita Parker.
The family will receive friends at Craven Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 5 to 6 P.M. A memorial service will follow at 6 P.M. According to her wishes, Roberta was cremated.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
