Friday, Sept. 21

10:38 a.m. — state Route 254 and state Route 57, Tyler Preston, 41, Fayette, Miss., arrested on an outstanding warrant through Elyria Municipal Court. Preston was taken to Lorain County Jail and held without a bond.

12:21 p.m. — 900 block Lorain Blvd., a gas station reports a counterfeit $20 bill was passed sometime between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday. Bill placed into evidence at Elyria Police Department.

Saturday, Sept. 22

12:38 a.m. — 600 block East River St., medical staff at EMH Elyria Medical Center reported that three C-Mac Intubation blades valued at approximately $6,000 were taken from the emergency department. A woman was being treated for a possible overdose and at the conclusion of her treatment medical staff went to clean the area when they noticed the medical instruments were gone. The nurses also observed two gray medical boxes that had been sitting on a shelf had their blue small plastic tag locks ripped off.

1:22 a.m. — 300 block Ohio St., after an alarm sounded, police arrived at the American Legion to find a window air conditioning unit kicked in. In addition, the interior cantina door’s deadbolt had been pried from the frame. Nothing was reported missing.

3:06 a.m. — 300 block 10th St., three women reported that a man assaulted all three of them after a night of drinking at a local bar. The suspect was gone when police arrived.

3:55 a.m. — 300 block E. Bridge St., after an audible alarm sounds, police arrived at Smitty’s Place to find a broken window. The suspects did not gain entry into the building and nothing was reported stolen.
